The overall project involved the re-purposing of the former AIB headquarter buildings in Ballsbridge. The task for T&I Fitouts was to add unifying features to this project, by using cohesive design to ensure interaction and uniformity between the different segments of the overall build. The aim was to create a centrepiece of META’s campus, connecting the site underground (integrating basement social facilities), vertically (with two new four-storey feature stairs), horizontally (with eight link bridges), and externally (through socially interactive landscaping), ultimately completing a comprehensive connection of the campus. The project was completed under budget, within an impressive 26-week programme and to the highest standard through construction expertise, collaboration, and remarkable innovations.
Together with the design team at Studios Architecture, MCA Architects acted as Executive Architects on this project which sought to develop a new campus environment, consolidating and expanding META’s EMEA headquarter operations in Dublin while providing enhanced flexibility, inter-connectivity and wellbeing for their staff.
Generous additional accommodation, including a variety of dining experiences, Training and Event Spaces, a front-end Partner Centre, extensive bicycle parking, shower facilities, and external amenity and landscaping works, were also provided as part of the campus masterplan. The development was planned to be constructed over four phases to align with the projected increase in staff count over a number of years. To date, three of the four phases have been completed.
Scollard Doyle provided Cost Management on all phases of the fit-out at this new, world-class campus in Dublin 4. The completed project provides high-end office space for META, the global leaders in social media.
The completed campus includes over 3,800 workstations; 600+ meeting, training, collaboration and event spaces and the development attained LEED Gold certification within circa 65,000 sq m.
